Tranquil

I always enjoy reflections on the water, When I biked down to the sailboat cove, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I was expecting to see puffy little clouds of fog.

We took a couple of days midweek and went to our favorite campground - Mactaquac Provincial Park, near Fredericton, New Brunswick.

À partir de la « track », on se mettait en rangs de procession et on arrivait aux chants des litanies, étendards déployés, au domaine de la bonne Ste-Anne. Là, à pleine voix, on adressait à la puissante patronne des Canadiens et des Bretons, le cantique populaire :

The Green Bear Hunt

Robin Hanson, President of The Oromocto Watershed Association Inc. has been working on a pilot program in conjunction with Fredericton Junction Professional Outfitter Markle Brawn who owns and operates Krumplehorn Lodge. The idea is a 'Green Bear Hunt' in combination with visits to other interesting sites and locations and lunch at the Lodge. Robin says it would be the perfect way to experience a day of adventure as well as learn about nature and wildlife. No harm would come to the animal as all shooting is done with a camera. read more here...

Grrrega posted a pic of one on his stream. I like the shape of the ones over there in Croatia much better. :)

Strobist info: Sb800 su-4 mode triggered via on board flash,1/4 power, snooted the flash head with my hands because I had nothing else! Holding the flash upside down from the head cupping the contour with both hands. So having both hands occupied I set the camera on self timer and propped it up using the camera bag. Part of the bag was caught in the bottom of the frame.

CORMORANTS [ Phalacrocoracidae ]

Someone called me to ask if I would take a picture of this bird, it was walking around the neighborhood and they did not know what kind of bird it was.
I jumped in my car and drove to where they said it was and there was this cormorant walking around the neighborhood, I think one of the folks called someone to come and see if it was hurt.
I realized after it was May 5 and the 24 hours of Flickr was on that day so Here was my opportunity to put in a great shot of one of these lovely birds.

These were taken back in 2004 while sailing back from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on Canada's East Coast. The Confederation Bridge is over 10 kilometres long and links Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick.
